The Izmailovo Vega is one of the four hotels that make up the Izmailovo Hotel Complex which, with 7,500 rooms combined, is listed as the largest in Europe. Built for the 1980 Olympic Games and renovated significantly in 1998 - the complex consists of five towering modern buildings set on the edge of Izmailovsky Park, which was once a model village belonging to the Romanov family, and the childhood home of Peter the Great.
The Izmailovo Vega offers 1,000 guest rooms, from basic budget accommodation with ageing furniture to smart, new VIP Class rooms with modern technical amenities and fresh interiors. Rooms in all categories represent excellent value for money by Moscow standards, and the hotel also offers a good range of business facilities, including a large conference center with 11 different spaces for corporate events of any scale.
Although the hotel is not in central Moscow, access to the Kremlin by metro takes under 20 minutes, and the area around the hotel is particularly attractive in summer, with the added advantage of the Izmailovo Souvenir Market nearby.
