Nearest metro: Mayakovskaya
The Peking has one of the best locations for any 3-star hotel in Moscow, at the junction of the central Garden Ring and Tverskaya Ulitsa, the citys main thoroughfare. Surrounded by the stunning neoclassical architecture of Triumfalnaya Ploshchad, with its monumental statue of the great revolutionary poet Vladimir Mayakovsky, the Peking is also only 2km from the Kremlin and Red Square, and very conveniently located for public transport.
The nearest metro station, Mayakovskaya, is just across the square from the hotel. Located on the green line, the station is only two stops away from Teatralnaya Station, which is next to the Bolshoi Theatre and a couple of minutes walk from Red Square and the Kremlin.
The hotel is very conveniently located for Belorusskiy Station, which is only 2km or 15 minutes taxi-ride away. Sheremetyevo International Airport is around 27km from the hotel, and can be reached in around one hour, depending on traffic. Moscows other airports are further afield, and guests should allow at least 90 minutes for the journey. |

The Peking Hotel is located directly opposite the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, one of Moscows top classical music venues, with concerts by the Moscow Philharmonic and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, and featuring top Russian and international soloists. Triumfalnaya Ploshchad is also home to the Theater of Satire.
About 15 minutes walk from the Peking is the All-Russian Museum of Applied Art on Delegatskaya Ulitsa. This little known museum is packed with fascinating examples of Russian folk art, including a vast collection of antique lacquer miniatures, and there are also interesting displays of Faberge jewelry and 19th and 20th Century fine porcelain.
To walk from the Peking Hotel to the Kremlin and Red Square takes 30-40 minutes, but is well worth it, with the option of walking down bustling Tverskaya Ulitsa, Moscows busiest central street, or the equally historic and fascinating Ulitsa Petrovka and Ulitsa Bolshaya Dmitrovka, both of which have numerous sights of interest. |
