Moscow has three international airports. While Sheremetyevo is the best-known and has recently completed a massive reconstruction, Domodedovo is actually the busiest, and an increasing number of passengers each year are passing through the city's third airport, Vnukovo. Until recently, travelers have been poorly served with hotel accommodation near Moscow's airports, but the last few years has a seen a flurry of construction activity, and the choice of airport accommodation in Moscow gets better and better.
Located to the north of Moscow, Sheremetyevo is the home of Russia's flagship carrier, Aeroflot. It is also has the best choice of airport accommodation, with hotels to suit all budgets, including several international brands.
Moscow's busiest airport, Domodedovo is a long way from the downtown and has historically been poorly served with hotels. Guests may therefore prefer to choose from the many excellent options close to the Aeroexpress rail link from Pavelets Station.
