For trains arriving from central Russia (Kursk and Nizhny Novgorod), eastern Ukraine (Donetsk and Kharkiv), as well as some Sapsan high-speed services from St. Petersburg, Kursk Station is quite close to the Akademicheskaya Hotel.
By taxi
While it is roughly ten minutes by car from the train station to the Akademicheskaya Hotel on clear roads, if you are unlucky enough to get stuck in a traffic jam it can take much longer. The cost is about $15-20 but you can save yourself the trouble of bargaining and pre-book a transfer with driver to meet your train here.
By metro
From Kurskaya Metro Station, connected via concourse to the train station, it is four stops clockwise on the brown circle line to Oktyabrskaya. The Akademicheskaya Hotel is a short walk from the metro.
