How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?

The simplest way to get to Moscow's most famous art museum from the Altay Hotel is to take the metro from Vladykino Metro Station (about 300m from the Altay Hotel) and travel seven stops south to Chekhovskaya. Change there to the dark-green line and continue south two stops to Novokuznetskaya. From there it is around seven minutes' walk to the Tretyakov Gallery on Lavrushinsky Pereulok (the "Old Tretyakov").
