By taxi
If you are lucky enough to miss Moscow’s notorious traffic jams it should take 30-40 minutes to reach the hotel. An official airport taxis costs around $60, but you can also book an airport transfer to meet your flight here.
By train
The Aeroexpress train will take you directly from the station at Sheremetyevo (behind Terminals D, E and F, with a free bus connection from Terminal B) to Belarus Rail Station. Services are in operation daily every 30 minutes from 5am to 12.30am, with a travel time of around 35 minutes. Standard adult tickets cost roughly $11. Once you have arrived at Belarus Station you should take the brown circle line from Belarusskaya Metro Station and travel one stop clockwise to Novoslobodskaya. Change there to the gray line, and it is a further five stops north to Vladykino, which is just over five minutes' walk from the Altay Hotel.
By bus
For the most economical way of traveling from the airport to the hotel there are buses running from all terminals at the airport to Rechnoy Vokzal Metro Station in the far north of Moscow. The regular bus services ($1) run from 5.35am to 12.49am and take around 30 minutes to reach the metro. Be sure to use the 851E service rather than just 851 in order to avoid a long journey with several suburban stops. There is also a marshrutka minibus that follows the same route from 6.45am to 9.45pm. It is slightly quicker, and costs a little over $2.
You change the bus for the metro at Rechnoy Vokzal and head south eight stops on the dark-green line to Tverskaya. There, change to the gray line and travel north seven stops to Vladykino Station, which is under ten minutes' walk from the Altay Hotel.
