The Arbat Hotel's location in the west of Moscow's downtown means that it's a reasonably long trip from any of the city's airports. Vnukovo is the closest, and the Aeroexpress rail link to Kiev Station (less than 2 km from the hotel) makes it very easy to reach the Arbat Hotel by public transport. In fact, due to the constant problems with traffic congestion in Moscow, it is only really worth taking a taxi from any airport if you have to struggle with heavy luggage. All Moscow's other mainline railway stations are situated in a ring around the city centre, within 20 minutes' drive or metro ride from the Arbat Hotel.
