How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?

The Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow's world-famous museum of Russian art, has its main collections, covering the history of Russian art up to the end of the 19th century, in the museum's historic home on Lavrushinskiy Pereulok, a little over 1km to the south of the Assambleya Nikitskaya Hotel across the Moskva River. The easiest way to reach the Tretyakov is to take the metro from Teatralnaya Metro Station (about ten minutes' walk from the hotel) and travel south one stop on the dark-green line to Novokuznetskaya. Exit the metro via Tretyakovskaya Station, and it is just over five minutes' walk from the museum, with signposts to guide you from the metro.
