While the eateries on the grounds of the World Trade Centre are mostly a little soulless, there are plenty of them, an there are other good dining options within walking distance of the Crowne Plaza, particularly along Ulitsa 1905 goda, which starts right next to the hotel.
Top-end
Shinok (2 Ulitsa 1905 goda) is a long-established up-market restaurant serving traditional Ukrainian cuisine in an incredibly lavish interior that is even home to live farm animals. China Garden (12 Krasnopresnenskaya Naberezhnaya) has been running since 1994, and is recognized as one of Moscow's best Chinese restaurants.
Mid-range
The Fusion Plaza (12 Krasnopresnenskaya Naberezhnaya) is housed in the same building as the hotel and, despite being a little over-priced and generically decorated, serves tasty Indian and Italian-influenced cuisine. Gostinaya (3 Schmitovsky Proyezd) is a delightful cafe with summer veranda serving flavorful international cuisine.
Value
Hajurao (14 Schmitovsky Proyezd) is a reasonably priced Indian restaurant serving good authentic cuisine in a surprisingly beautiful interior.
