The Golden Ring Hotel is located at the end of Ulitsa Arbat, one of Moscow's most famous historic streets. Now a pedestrian zone, Arbat is home to souvenir stalls and a myriad of street performers, as well as open-air bars and cafes in the summer. Less than ten minutes' walk from the museum is the Pushkin Memorial Museum, housed in the apartments where Russia's greatest poet took up residence after his marriage. There is a statue of Pushkin and his bride, Natalia Goncharova, opposite.
