The best thing about the Holiday Inn is location. Not quite in the centre, maybe, but so convenient for Sheremetyevo Airport - five minutes to the station and 35 to the airport on the train. For Red Square, it's also only about 20 minutes. If you like modernist architecture, the Zuev Workers Club near Holiday Inn Lesnaya is a treat for you - a Constructivist masterpiece. The hotel itself is good, international 4-star with very friendly staff who speak good English.

The Holiday Inn Lesnaya was a pleasant surprise for me. It's been years since I've stayed in a Holiday Inn in the States, but I certainly don't remember them being this plush. The room was big and really nicely furnished, the buffet breakfast was ample and tasty, and the staff were polite and efficient. Only two small negatives - extras like Internet are expensive and there's a big construction site next to the hotel. I was there in Winter, so I didn't need the window open much, and the soundproofing was good, but…
