Korston Hotel

Formerly known as the Orlyonok Hotel and Casino, the Korston Hotel is a 4-star hotel and entertainment complex in a leafy area just west of the historic center of Moscow. With more than a whiff of Las Vegas – or, more accurately, the decadent glamour of 90s Moscow – the Korston is not to everyone's taste, but certainly has character, and also offers a high standard of accommodation and several unique features at reasonable rates.

Fully refurbished in 2004, the Korston Moscow Hotel has 322 comfortable and stylish guest rooms, as well as a full range of 4-star business and leisure facilities, including extensive and well equipped conferencing and meeting facilities. Part of a large entertainment center, the Korston Hotel offers a wide range of on-site dining options, shops, a bowling alley and two nightclubs. The Korston Moscow has recently introduced Business and VIP Floors, offering guests further levels of comfort and convenience. The hotel serves a good buffet breakfast and several of the hotel's dining options are highly rated. Until recently, the hotel was also home to a large casino, and it retains a slightly decadent (or tacky) atmosphere that may be off-putting for some guests.

From the Korston Hotel, with is located not far from the famous Sparrow Hills, home of Moscow's impressive State University (one of the spectacular Seven Sisters neo-gothic skyscrapers dating from the heyday of Stalin's grand construction projects), it is only a short walk to the nearest metro station. Moscow's major attractions, including Red Square and the Kremlin, can be reached within 15 minutes' drive from the Korston Hotel.
