The Maxima Irbis Hotel is located on Gostinichnaya Ulitsa ("Hotel Street"), a leafy street in the northern part of Moscow laid out in the late 1950s to provide more hotel accommodation reasonably close to the All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VDNKh/VVTs), which is just over 1 km from the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel is pleasantly green and well equipped with shops and amenities.
The Irbis Hotel is about ten minutes' walk from two metro stations - Petrovsko-Razumovskaya and Vladykino. Journey time to the downtown is just over 20 minutes. The walk from either metro station to the hotel is not the best introduction to the Maxima Irbis, as in both cases guests will have to cross some wasteland area around railway tracks.
