Guests at the Peter 1st Hotel have the chance to enjoy some of the best dining in Moscow, with a number of superb (if expensive) restaurants nearby, and even some reasonable budget options to be sought out. Below are our pick of the options.
Top-end
Godunov (5/1 Teatralnaya Ploshchad) caters to wealthy theatregoers a few steps from the Bolshoi Theater, offering lavish Russian cuisine in extremely elegant premises. More luxurious still is The Most (6/2 Ulitsa Kuznetskiy Most), offering high quality French and Italian cuisine at very high prices. Green Gourmet XO Club (30/7 Ulitsa Petrovka) is even more fabulously expensive, but has a Michelin-starred menu that lives up to its prices.
Mid-range
Bosco Cafe (3 Red Square) does not have the most exciting menu, but boasts the most stunning location in Moscow, with al fresco dining right on Red Square in summer. Kitezh (23/10 Ulitsa Petrovka) is a charming traditional Russian restaurant.
Value
Fans of spicy ethnic cuisines should try the Azeri offerings at Barashka (20/1 Ulitsa Petrovka), a stylish and reasonably priced cafe. Drevny Kitai (5/6 Kamergerski Pereulok) is a good quality and excellent value Chinese restaurant.
