Kiev Station is roughly 35 km from the Planernoe Hotel, which is in the north beyond Moscow's city limits. To ensure a comfortable and hassle-free arrival, it would definitely be best to book a transfer in advance, although if you are travelling on a tight budget you can save money by taking the metro to the far north of the city and covering the last few kilometers to the hotel by taxi.

The journey from the station to the Planernoe Hotel by taxi should take around 45 minutes, but can take much longer during rush hour. Taxis will cost at least $50, or you can book a transfer with a driver to meet your train here.
By metro
From Kievskaya Metro Station, take the brown circle line and travel clockwise one stop to Krasnopresnenskaya Metro Station. There change to the purple line and travel eight stops north to Planernaya. From there it is a 15-minute taxi ride to the hotel.
