Located on the edge of a thriving commercial district, the President Hotel is within comfortable walking distance of several excellent eateries.
Top-end
Oblomov (5 1-y Monetchikovsky Pereulok) is about 20 minutes' walk from the hotel, but is one of the finest Russian restaurants in Moscow, with 19th century grandeur and superbly cooked traditional cuisine. It's worth crossing the river (and taking a thick wallet) for Beefbar (13 Prechistenskaya Naberezhnaya, Bldg. 1), a carnivore's paradise offering steak from 22 countries and great riverside views.
Mid-range
Pancho Villa (59 Ulitsa Bolshaya Yakimanka) is a colorful Mexican restaurant that appeals to diners looking for fun. Suliko (42/4 Ulitsa Bolshaya Polyanka) is not as cheap as many Georgian restaurants, but presents well-cooked versions of this much-loved spicy cuisine in a stylish and welcoming venue.
