How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?

The easiest way to reach the Tretyakov is certainly by taxi, although this can take much longer than the standard 25 minutes in the morning rush hour. The alternative is to take the metro from Bagrationovskaya (just under 20 minutes' walk from the hotel) and go four stops east to Kievskaya. Change there to the brown circle line, and travel two stops anticlockwise to Oktyabrskaya. Change again to the orange line, and it is one stop north to Tretyakovskaya, around five minutes' walk from the gallery.
