Located to the east of Moscow's historic centre, Kursk Station is the Moscow terminal for trains to/from eastern Ukraine and central Russia, including the high-speed Sapsan to Nizhny Novgorod. Although the station is easily accessed from the downtown area, only one stop on the metro from Ploshchad Revolyutsii (see our section on Hotels near the Bolshoi Theatre), there are few hotels within walking distance of Kursk Station.
