How do I get from the hotel to the Bolshoi Theater?

Taxi is definitely the most comfortable way to make the journey from the Sayany Hotel to the Bolshoi Theater. Particularly if you are heading for an evening performance, make sure you allow at least an hour for the journey in case of heavy traffic. Alternatively, take a bus to VDNKh Metro Station (around 15 minutes ride), and from there travel south on the orange line five stops to Turgenevskaya. Change to the red line and continue south two stops to Okhotny Ryad. Exit following signs for the theatre, which is under five minutes' walk from the metro.
