How do I get from the hotel to the Kremlin?

It is possible to walk to the Kremlin and Red Square from the Sretenskaya Hotel in a little over 30 minutes. Head straight down Sretenskaya Ulitsa, across Rozhdestvenskiy Bulvar, and on down Ulitsa Lubyanka. At Lubyanskaya Ploshchad, bear right along Teatralniy Proezd until you come out onto Teatralnaya Ploshchad, in front of the Bolshoi Theatre. From here, the Kremlin walls and towers are clearly visible, as are the gates to Red Square. Alternatively, take the metro from Sukharevskaya one stop south to Turgenenvskaya and change there the red line at Chistye Prudy. From here it is three stops south to Biblioteka im. Lenina, which can be exited directly in front of the main visitor entrance to the Kremlin.
