The Universitetskaya's main restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel, and has a fairly institutional atmosphere, with basic cafe furniture and rather incongruous pictures and maps of the Holy Land. The menu includes dishes from Russia, other Slavic countries, and the rest of Europe. There are also special dishes for those fasting according to Orthodox traditions. The food is plain but well prepared and very cheap, particularly the set-menu lunches and dinners. Buffet breakfast is served here daily from 8am to 10.30am
