Domodedovo Airport is Moscow's largest in terms of passenger numbers and cargo traffic, and the home airport for Russia's second-largest airline, Transaero. Located over 40 kilometers from the city centre, the airport has traditionally been poorly served with airport accommodation. While this situation is slowly being rectified, a much better choice of hotels is available around Pavelets Railway Station, the downtown terminal for the Aeroexpress rail service to/from the airport, which takes around 45 minutes.

The only hotel at Domodedovo Airport (500 meters from the terminal building with free shuttle service 24-hour), the Airhotel is able to charge quite high prices for what is in general only a very moderate hotel experience. Rooms are adequately fitted, but quite small and would certainly benefit from renovation. Business and leisure facilities are reasonable, however, including a fitness centre with sauna and plunge pool, business centre and limited meeting space. The on-site restaurant and bar are refreshingly inexpensive. »»»
